It's been a long time huh? I know you missed me...

yo!
I know its been a long time!!!!
I'm sorry.
I started this internship, and it is AMAZING!
It's so much fun.
The people are really cool too which makes the internship that much better!
Amazing music, amazing people, oh yea AND AMAZING FOOD SPOTS.
I work on Madison Avenue... between Madison and 5th, so you know there are bound to be some great food spots.
Of course, Starbucks is taking over the world ( it is an amazing company and it should :) ), so there aren't that many cafes for the consumers of YSL and Cartier on 5th Avenue.
I was really hungry one day and decided to opt for something other than the Grande Soy Vanilla Latte with whip and a marble loaf, and try something different.
I went to this cafe called Europa. There are few around the city.
It is delcious. It's kind of like the Bread Factory in the City without the dinner options.
I've noticed something. Whenever there's a salad in an equation, I am unable to stray away from that. It's terrible. Every Thursday and Friday I go to Europa Cafe and get a salad. Maybe I hope my mixed greens salad would help me blend in with my peers and the other sophisticated people on Madison Avenue, but sadly it does not. I end up getting my Grande Soy Vanilla Latte with Whipped Cream, because it provides me with the comfort that I needed due to its familiarity to me. It's funny that when I didn't try so hard, I fit in more than I thought I could have.
Walking back to work, I always pass this other place called, Burger Heaven. I've checked out the menu, and the prices seem reasonably fare. Because of a name like Burger Heaven I was expected like the Kobe Club meets Red Robin, but it's not like that at all. It's a cute diner, and the food looks like it would be delicious. All their beef for burgers are 100 percent Angus, I believe. Don't take my word for it though hahaha.
I do believe that that is the case though.
Wanna know what I've noticed? Okay, I'll tell you anyway.
I need to be more adventurous with food. I was speaking to the owners/managers of the Tribeca Grill one day and they noticed a them in my taste of food. It's highly influenced by Pan Asian cuisine. I like really clean flavors- something distinct, but the flavors aren't too harsh.
I want to stray from that a little. I want to try something a little exotic. Moroccan Food, Thai Food, Cuban Food, and authentic French and Spanish food would be a nice change of scenery... food scenery.
I think I need that so my palette can grow, so I don't become monotonous and repetitive.
I'm sorry I haven t posted in awhile.
I'm actually at work now doing this. I hope I don't get in trouble.
I'm hungry. I'll go to lunch in an hour. Maybe tonight, I can tell you what I ate...
It'll probably the usual salad.
Until then,
Smile, Laugh, Share,
Peace and Love,
Trish
